Galway Ambassador Awards
The Galway Convention Bureau is proud to host the inaugural Galway Ambassador Recognition Awards on Thursday, 12 November at The Hardiman, celebrating the exceptional individuals whose influence, expertise and international networks help attract conferences, meetings, business, cultural and sporting events to Galway.
The awards will recognise academics, researchers, clinicians, industry leaders and members of professional associations who act as ambassadors for Galway on the global stage. Through their efforts, these champions play a vital role in securing international events that deliver significant economic and societal benefits for the region.
Business events continue to be a key driver of growth for Galway, supporting local businesses, fostering collaboration and innovation, and showcasing the city and county as a destination of excellence. With a strong pipeline of international events secured through to 2030, Galway is expected to welcome an estimated 30,000 delegates, generating approximately €43.5 million for the local economy.
Hosted by broadcaster Gemma Ní Chionnaith, the evening will bring together representatives from tourism, hospitality, business, academia and local government to celebrate the individuals whose dedication and leadership continue to strengthen Galway's reputation as a world-class destination for international events.
The Galway Ambassador Recognition Awards will provide an opportunity to acknowledge and thank these remarkable ambassadors for their contribution to the region's success and for the lasting legacy their efforts create for Galway's communities, businesses and future generations.
