Sustainability Initiatives and Achievements

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Maldron Hotel Galway undergoes an annual assessment and accreditation process with Green Tourism. This year, we are proud to share that we have maintained our Gold accreditation for two consecutive years. Green Tourism operates an award certification program that recognizes the commitment of tourism businesses working to become more sustainable. This accreditation is globally acknowledged as an indicator of good environmental practice and serves as a framework for improving sustainability performance at our hotel level. It also encourages day-to-day engagement with our hotel teams on sustainability, which is critical to our overall sustainability journey.

In addition to our Gold accreditation, we also hold Gold Meetings accreditation for our meeting and events facilities, recognizing our commitment to sustainable practices in hosting business events.
