A Day at the Galway Races

The Galway Convention Bureau team was delighted to join Galway Bay Hotel, The Galmont Hotel & Spa, and Clayton Hotels for “Galway’s Best Hotels: A Day at the Galway Races.” It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with some of our key accommodation partners while experiencing one of Galway’s most iconic summer traditions.

The day brought together everything that makes Galway hospitality stand out — genuine warmth, effortless hosting, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for visitors, delegates and event organisers. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was unmistakably Galway: friendly faces, great conversations and a sense of community that runs right through our business tourism network.

The racing itself added plenty of excitement, with lively crowds, colourful moments and that unique Galway buzz that fills the racecourse every July. Between races, we enjoyed catching up with colleagues, discussing upcoming events, and celebrating the collaborative spirit that drives Galway’s business events sector forward.
